| 抄録(和) | 上側頭溝は大脳の中でも、カテゴリー化がおこる部位の候補として注目を浴びている。サルの場合、上壁は聴覚皮質、下壁は視覚皮質とされている。今回はカルシウム結合蛋白に対する免疫染色をサルの脳切片について行い、上側頭溝の構造について調べた。上壁も下壁も溝の奥の方がより高次の連合野の構造を呈している。また、上壁と下壁の間の溝の最も奥にあたる部位はこれらとは別なコンパクトな皮質となっている。fast neuron、slow neuronの分布は上壁と下壁ではほぼパラレルになっており、視覚と聴覚の間ではsynchronizationがおこりやすい構造となっている。 |
| 抄録(英) | Superior temporal sulcus (STS) is one of cortices for categorization. In monkey brain, upper bank of STS is auditory cortex and lower bank is for vision. In this study, structure of STS was investigated by immunohistochemistry of calcium binding protein on sections of rhesus brain. In STS, both banks showed similar tendency, that is deep part showed features of higher order association cortex than superficial part. Cortex of STS fundus was more compact than both banks. Distribution of fast neurons and slow neurons are almost parallel in upper and lower banks. And this may suggest the possible synchronization between vision and audition in STS. Reciprocal connection between STS, sensory, and memory cortices may explain the basic network for categorization. |
