A Scheme for Adaptive Image-band Interference Cancellation with RLS Algorithm in Heterodyne Multimode Receivers

Abstract(in English) Multimode receivers is investigated to use number of wireless systems with one receiver. When we construct multimode receivers using heterodyne reception, the imageband interference arises and deteriorates transmission characteristics significantly because of removal of radio frequency filter. Therefore, cancellation methods have been heretofore proposed, but they have problems that convergence properties are not good. To solve this problem, we proposed a cancellation method with good convergence characteristics, in which we calculate the weighting addition of baseband signals of the desired signal and the imageband signals. We can apply this method in rayleigh fading channels, but we found that the bit-error rate characteristics will deteriorate. Then, in this report, I describe that we can realize a cancellation method which has good convergence properties without deterioration of the bit-error rate characteristics with using the RLS algorithm.
