Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When MRC diversity reception is applied to OFDM mobile communication, diversity branch combining must be carried out subcarrier by subcarrier, bring the system very complicated with a large number of subcarriers. In this paper, we proposed a novel OFDM diversity reception scheme using code combining. Because the part of diversity branch combining is simply one digital switch, the proposed scheme can greatly reduce the system complexity. With computer simulations under various mobile channel conditions, the transmission performance of the proposed scheme has been investigated and compared with that of OFDM diversity reception using MRC. It is confirmed that the proposed scheme shows almost equal performance to MRC OFDM diversity reception.
