Abstract(in English) Timing jitter generation in PAM, ASK and QAM with AWGN is analyzed and a closed form representation of jitter PSD is derived. The PSD consists of three components: SS, SN and NN. It is also shown that (1) SS is independent of SNR and dependent of data statistics, (2) SN and NN are dependent of SNR and independent of data statistics, (3) SS of QAM is one half of PAM and ASK, (4) SN of ASK and QAM is one half of PAM and (5) NN of ASK and QAM is one half of PAM.
