Future View of Mobile Multimedia Communication Technology from the Viewpoint of Mobile Terminals

Abstract(in English) Further mobile terminal technologies are necessary to be developed for providing advanced services along with the trend of continuous advancement and integration of cellular phone functionalities, new generation radio access technology, and an evolution of mobile systems and networks. This paper describes the expectation and vision of future mobile multimedia communication technology focusing on cellular systems from the viewpoint of mobile terminals. This paper provides a future image of cellular phone as a personal communication tool and an overview of functions and technologies of next generation cellular phone, concluding that realization of advanced intelligent communication should be the important direction for the future research of mobile multimedia communication.
