Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hearing impaired people sometimes find it is difficult to follow speech because they are only able to hear a limited amount of information. Sign language interpreting and speech to text service are the major support services for hearing impaired people in Japan. But hearing impaired people had not been received enough support because of the shortage of sign language interpreters and speech to text operators. To solve such a problem, we have developed remote support system for hearing impaired people. In this paper, we describe our experimental system for remote sign language interpreting service and remote and on-site speech to text services and provide a subjective evaluation.
