| Abstract(in English) | For a purpose of development of compact and thin antenna at UHF-band, a printed J-shaped monopole antenna array was discussed for the reception of the terrestrial broadcasting TV. This antenna consists of λ/4 monopole antenna array folded as a shape of "J" fed by a coplanar waveguide with the finite ground plane. From the analyzed results, it was confirmed that the radiation pattern of this antenna array was similar to that of a monopole antenna and the antenna gain of this antenna array was over -2.5dBi in the frequency ranges from 400MHz to 700MHz. From the measured results, the return loss of the J-shaped monopole antenna array was over 5dB from 400MHz to 700MHz and the input impedance of the J-shaped monopole antenna array was around 55-j45Ω. It was confirmed that the proposed meander antenna has capability to apply into the mobile and indoor terrestrial broadcasting TV antenna from the viewpoint of evaluation of a carrier noise ratio for analog terrestrial broadcasting channels. And moreover, it was obvious that the size was reasonably small to be used for such applications because this antenna was made by 1.6mm-thickness dielectric substrate with an area of 80mm×100mm. |
