Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report compares the media synchronization quality of preventive control schemes at media sources and media destinations in voice and video communications. At the sources, we deal with two preventive control techniques: Advancement of transmission timing with network delay estimation and temporal resolution control of video. At the destinations, we handle three preventive control techniques: Change of buffering time with network delay estimation, preventive pausing, and preventive shortening of output duration. By experiment, we assess and compare the synchronization quality of schemes which combine these techniques.
