| 抄録(和) | ホールド型ディスプレイの動画質劣化には、カラーフィルターを用いたTFT-LCDにおける動画ボヤケや、フィールドシーケンシャルカラーLCD(FSC-LCD)におけるカラーブレイクアップ(CBU)現象がある。これらの対策としてフレーム周波数を増加させる方法とバックライトブリンキングが用いられる。それぞれの手法による低減効果を検討するため、ボヤケ幅、ストライプパターンにおけるコントラスト、CBU幅をコンピュータシミュレーションによって計算し、定量的評価を行った。その結果、ボヤケ幅はホールド時間に比例、フレーム周波数に反比例して短くなることがわかった。また、コントラストはフレーム周波数を8倍以上に増加すると、速度が10P/F以下において0.5以上となった。CBUに対しては前詰め表示方式が効果的であることがわかった。 |
| 抄録(英) | The hold type display system causes the degradation of moving image quality such as the motion blur on LCDs and color breakup on field sequential color LCDs. To solve the problems, the increase of the frame frequency and the blinking backlight have been proposed. In this report, the width of blur, the contrast of stripe pattern, and the width of color breakup are calculated to quantitatively evaluate the effect of the methods. It was found that width of blur is proportional to the hold time, and it is inversely proportional to frame frequency. The contrast of over 0.5 can be kept with 8 times frame frequency for the image having the speeds of less than 10 pixel per 1TV field. For the color breakup, a hold time-compressed method is effective. |
