Preparation and characterization of SrGd_4Si_3O_<13>:Tb^<3+> green phosphors for Xe_2 excimer band excitation

Abstract(in English) Luminescent properties of SrGd_4Si_3O_<13>:Tb^<3+> have been investigated as a green PDF phosphor for Xe_2 excimer band excitation. The photoluminescence(PL) intensity of SrGd_4Si_3O_<13>:Tb^<3+> under 172nm excitation reaches the maximum at the Tb content of 15 molar% for the sample fired at 1200℃, and the peak intensity is about 125% compared to that of Zn_2SiO_4:Mn^<2+>. The PL intensity of the SrGd_4Si_3O_<13>:Tb^<3+> phosphor is not decreased by baking at 600℃ with ethylcellulose, and the peak intensity is about 110% compared to that of Zn_2SiO_4:Mn^<2+> after plasma irradiation.
