Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We evaluate the characteristics of a mobile antenna in multipath environments using ray-trace method. The simulation results indicate that distribution of arrival waves in a vertical plane spreads widely and this spread distribution varies with dependence on the height of base station and that of the surrounding buildings. In these propagation environments, we found that effective gain of a mobile antenna is inferior in spite of using a high gain (narrow beamwidth) antenna. Moreover, it is shown that the inferior tendency of the effective antenna gain can be estimated by an approximation of the Gamma distribution.
