Abstract(in English) In multipath fading environments, it is generally difficult to estimate received signal characteristics at a certain distance from observation points if the distance is sufficiently larger than the spatial correlation length of the environment. In this paper, we consider an estimation technique of the received signal characteristics (i.e., amplitude and phase of the received signal) at a location based on the observed signal characteristics at multiple different locations. Computer simulations are carried out to quantitatively evaluate the estimation performance of the technique when the estimation parameters such as the number of the observation points and the distance between the observed and the estimated points are varied. The result of the study can be utilized to analyze the performance of the recently-developed wireless security systems based on wireless channel characteristics such as the wireless private key sharing schemes.
