Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ontology engineering provides effective method of modeling an artifact, which is called functional decomposition tree, for designers to clarify his/her implicit design rational, and to interoperably use functional knowledge. While describing a functional decomposition tree brings some merits for technical knowledge sharing and utilization, it has an aspect to be handled with difficulty. This paper describes how the combination of ontology engineering and natural language technology contributes to solve such difficulty, and to create a new support framework to easily describe a functional decomposition tree, and develop conceptual thinking of users who write it.
