Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plans include an optimization strategy for minimizing an objective function of radiation beam weights. In this paper, we consider a dynamical system describing an iterative method for EUD-based optimization using diagonal Newton's method. In order to designing the optimization system as well as clarifying the mechanism of convergence process in IMRT plans, we investigate bifurcations of fixed and periodic points corresponding to global or local minima of the optimization system.
