Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been reported that there is a divergence problem of a coupled filter when the number of calculation digits can not be taken enough. However, numerical analyses of the coupled filter compared with the decoupled filter when the number of calculation digits is enough have not been reported. We present two problems of a coupled filter that are not occurred when we use a decoupled filter. The first problem is tracking error in the vertical plane caused by tracking error in the horizontal plane. The second problem is tracking performance degradation affected by approximation errors when the measurement covariance matrix is converted from the polar coordinate system into the Cartesian coordinate system.
