Abstract(in English) | Telemedicine in Japan started as Teleradiology and Telepathology. According to the spread of broadband networks to home, Telemedicine has been brought home as Telecare. Moreover, Telecare is progressing with the advancement of Telecare devices and becoming eHealth, IT-based health promotion that is important part of home-care and welfare in Japan. Recently new projects on Telemedicine and eHealth are conducted all over Japan. In this situation, Japanese Telemedicine and Telecare Association was established in 2005. |
