Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The effects of power/ground structure on simultaneous switching noise and radiated emission (EMI) have been investigated. Printed circuit boards with 4 different power/ground structures were prepared. They were GV, GVG, GGV, and GVGG structures. It has been found that the power/ground structure did not affected on the SSN, but significant reduction of EMI has been observed in the GVG or GVGG structures compared with GV structure. This reduction effects can be explained that the electric field of the GVG structures cancel by the electric fields with the opposite phase each other, even if the GVG structure has the same S parameters as that of the GV structure.
