Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) C language is the necessary subject for computer engineering education. We propose C programming exercise with group contest in classroom. We adjust a contest style for beginners. We offer two stages of execution test by given some input and output sample data. The preparation tests are step-by-step subgoals. A student may try them even in many times, though he takes sometimes mistakes. The achievement test is the final check to give adequate points concerned with answering time and mistake frequency. The rule makes a student consider test data carefully and feel importance of execution tests. We develop the support environment tProgrEss, which is the contest management Web server. The purpose of our research is to promote their learning motivation with group collaboration and team competition. And it is to give satisfaction and achievement volition by solving problems in classroom.
