Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This article describes the performance evaluation and comparison of the static and dynamic wavelength allocations in WDM double ring networks. We present simulation results of traffic forwarding probability, packet loss probability, and call loss probability using a queueing theory. It is shown that the dynamic wavelength allocation can give better performance than the static wavelength allocation when the rate of node processing is high and the number of wavelengths is few.
