Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In networks with optical packet multiplexing to encode and multiplex each packet at tera-bit class speed available with WDM, core routers to relay packets optically inside the networks can be constructed easily with electric header processing and optical payload buffering by FDLs. However, to connect slower electric networks to the optical networks, composition and decomposition of optically multiplexed packets are necessary. Construction of circuits for composition and decomposition of optically packet multiplexed packets is discussed using a lot of OE/EOs and using a small number of OE/EOs with wavelength-time conversion circuits.
