Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We report numerical examples of the group-velocity dispersion in a Bragg fiber to understand it comprehensively. The TE, TM, and hybrid modes are treated here. We present dispersion properties under the quasi-quarter-wave stack condition which is useful for understanding actual dispersion characteristics. As the core radius or refractive index difference becomes large, the dispersion value of the TE mode decreases and the dispersion takes on the flat characteristic against the wavelength in the central part of the photonic band. We intensively analyze the TE_<01> mode that has the highest optical confinement factor.
