Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, the coal mine accidents occur very frequently in China. The sudden flood water is one of the reasons of the accidents. It is thought that such accidents can be avoid if we can monitoring the state of coal mine ahead by ground penetrating radar during the mining works. In this report, the reflections of the water stream in the coal mine are analyzed by using FDTD method. The computations are carried out for various kinds of bow-tie antenna with the different opposite angle, various separations between the transmitting and the receiving antennas and various distances between the antenna and coal surface in order to study the influence of the shape and arrangement of the GPR antenna to the receiving characteristics. Furthermore, the characteristics of the reflective wave from various kinds of shape of water are also discussed.
