Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As there is a very large variety in the physical characteristics of people with physical disabilities, many input devices and supporting tools for machines and computers have been developed. We have proposed a new automatic selection algorithm for the most suitable input device, its supporting tool (if necessary) and a part of body for the action for each user based on the criteria of the maximization of the information transmission speed, which can be calculated from the range of motion and the maximal frequency of motion of each part of the user.
