Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to improve the circumstance to use a mouthstick, we performed experiments twice to measure the controllability, its dependency to the target position and the direction, and the width of the available area, precisely. The required time to push the target, the trace of top movement, the error to the target and the strength were used as indices of the controllability. A questionnaire was also used to make the relationship between the controllability and the frequency of the use of a mouthstick in daily life. The experimental results indicated that the controllability does not have a dependency on the target position and that it is good enough to push keys of standard keyboard if keys are in the available area.
