Abstract(in English) The patients of osteoporosis amount to about 10 million people in Japan and it is one of the problems which an aging society has. In order to prevent the osteoporosis, it is necessary to do early detection and treatment. This paper aims at developing a computerized approach to assist the physicians' diagnosis of osteoporosis using multi-slice CT images. In this paper, we focus on estimates osteoporosis from the shapes of body of vertebrae.
