Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many techniques related to medical imaging such as X-ray CT, PET, SPECT and MRI have been introduced and especially multimodal imaging has been investigated by several researches. Our aim of this study is to develop a simple and cost-effective multimodal registration system using commercially available USB cameras. Two USB cameras are utilized to obtain three dimensional position and orientation of a patient while scanning by an image modality such as PET and MRI. By our system, two images obtained by different modalities can be automatically registered.
