Abstract(in English) Recently multi-detector row CT (MDCT) scanners allow us to measure whole-body CT images with high spatial resolution in a short time period. The large mount of image data acquired with MDCT may lead to information overload for the radiologist or physicians who must interpret the data. For this limitation, computerized methods for abnormalities detection are quickly becoming a necessity. It might be preferable to develop software modules of computerized method depending on body region of interest in whole-body CT images. This paper presents a method to automatically identify body parts from input CT images that took a picture of each part of body. In this method, we utilized bone region that anatomical shapes of typical body parts. This time report is that air area and bone area are wrapped by using close convex hull. Examination of features was done to training data and an excellent result was obtained.
