Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been developing the pallarel image processing library for three-dimensional images. Using this library, it is possible to make the computation time shorten by parallel computing. Because the transmission bandwidth is not wide in the case of PC clusters, the transmission time is longer than the coomputation time depending on circumstances. We propose a method to transmit data by compressing data. It is confirmed that the transmission time is shortened to 1/10 in the case of transmission from the master node to computation nodes, and 1/2 in the case of transmission from computation nodes to the master node.
