Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To apply to the public address system that produces more natural sound localization, we have investigated the relation of the time difference between two sound sources to the direction of sound image involving the Precedence effect. However, this relation is still unclear with the method in which the subjects answer directly the absolute direction of his preceived sound image, because there are some problems in this method. One of the problem is that the absolute judgment to the direction of the sound image has become ambiguous when the difference of time changes from that the correspondence of summing localization to the Precedence Effect. Another is that the subjects, judged direction to the subject's perception that the subject is not obvious. Therefore, to solve those problems, and, to obtain the experimental result with reliability, we propose a new experimental approach introducing a relative judgment. Result of experiment by this approach, experimental data that showed the relation between the direction of sound image and difference of time between two sound sources separated spatially was obtained. Moreover, the testee was able to divide into two groups depending on the type of the judgment.
