Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to generate a grasping animation, we have to determine where and how to grasp that particular object. Grasp quality measurement is important for grasp planning. In case of a human hand, however, the maximum force that a finger can apply to the object shows dramatic changes for different poses. We propose a grasp quality measurement that takes into account physical characteristics of the human hand. We implemented a realistic musculoskeletal model of the human hand and computed the maximum grasp forces for a grasp quality metrics.
