Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied the Wireless Infrastructure Mesh NETwork (WIMNET) as a large-scale multihop wireless network that is expandable with inexpensive cost. WIMNET is composed of multiple access points (APs) that have wireless connections with each other through Wireless Distribution System (WDS). In our past studies, we have shown that AP-to-AP communications around the gateway AP to a wired network become the bottleneck of the performance. In this paper, we propose two priority control methods of AP-to-AP communications to solve this problem by offering more communication chances to crowded APs. We evaluate our proposal by simulations using the WIMNET simulator that has been developed in our group.
