Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied the optimal design of the wireless mesh network into fields with difficulty of laying new wires. The wireless mesh network may inexpensively compose a large scale wireless network by connecting multiple access points (APs) through wireless communications in WDS (Wireless Distribution System), whereas the optimal allocation of APs are essential to maximize the performance. In this paper, we report experimental results of measuring communication throughputs for a variety of AP configurations at the same floor in an Engineering building in Okayama University. Our results show that the optimal allocation of APs may differ depending on the design goal of the wireless mesh network.
