Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Phase-locked loops (PLLs) are known to generate chaos in some operating conditions. Recently, heuristic study based on a numerical simulation presents the possibility of white noise generation from the chaotic PLL. Further, the experimental setup is shown in other report. But, the setup is somewhat difficult, because each module of the PLL is made independently. Moreover, this type of PLL needs fine adjustment of each part to generate chaos. In this paper, we demonstrate chaos with the nature of white noise by using a popular PLL-IC module 4046. Compared to the previous research, this hardware implementation is much easier to handle, and many flat power spectra at the input of VCO (=voltage controlled oscillator) are obtained easily from our experiments.
