Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new method is presented for calculating radiation from MIC elements for many frequencies by only one FDTD calculation using pulse wave excitation, instead of calculating many times radiation for each frequency by sine wave excitation. The basic algorithm is to first obtain time variation of fields on a closed surface taken within the analysis region by FDTD calculation using pulse wave excitation, and then apply the conventional method of analyzing radiation characteristics through use of radiation mode expansion of radiated fields, after obtaining the frequency components of those on the closed surface by using FFT techniques.
