| Abstract(in English) | In this study, we designed a learning environment to foster the creative attitudes of nursing students. We conducted an actual class in creative education in the first semester of 2006 at the Aichi Kiwami College of Nursing. In the learning environment, the students were challenged to produce self-help devices that give the required leverage to perform certain tasks difficult due to lack of strength, flexibility, range of motion, or balance. In these classes, we presented Snyder's 25-item self-monitoring scale before and after classes to evaluate the students' attitudes in creative activities. The results suggest that they learned self-monitoring skills in group work through these creative activities. |
