Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) W-band low-noise amplifier and signal detector MMICs using 0.13-μm InP HEMT technology, and a taper slot antenna have been developed for a 94-GHz passive imaging sensor. The small signal gain of the LNA is as high as 23-dB, and the noise figure (NF) is 4.2dB at 94-GHz. A taper slot Fermi antenna with coplanar-slot transformer on the same substrate has the gain of 14-dBi at 94-GHz. Performances of a single-antenna imaging sensor unit are also described.
