| 抄録(和) | MPEG、JPEG等の標準符号化方式等において画像・映像信号はRGB色空間からYC_bC_r色空間に変換して取り扱われる。これは、C_b, C_r成分がY成分よりも信号帯域が狭いため、画像圧縮の観点からも好都合である。よって、YC_bC_r色空間で画像・映像処理アルゴリズムを考えることは実用上意味深い。さらに、YC_bC_r色空間の特徴として、HSI色空間との関係も密接であることがあげられる。HSI色空間は人間の感性にあった色空間であり、多くのカラー画像強調法がこの色空間上で与えられている。本稿ではYC_bC_r色空間において彩度(HSI色空間のS成分に対応)を強調する方法を与える。C_b, C_r成分による強調処理の留意点はC_b, C_r平面がY成分の値に依存してその大きさを変えるため、単純な強調方法では強調後の信号が表示可能なRGB色空間から飛び出す恐れがある。本稿では、RGB各8ビットの画像を対象に表示可能な色空間の制約下でYC_bC_r色空間において効果的な彩度強調法を与える。さらに、濃淡画像でよく知られた輝度値に対するヒストグラム平坦化処理を彩度ヒストグラムに対して適用することを考える。この彩度強調法は処理対象画像に依存せずに良好な結果が得られることを示す。 |
| 抄録(英) | In the case of digital image/video processing, color images are represented in the YC_bC_r. The Y component is the luminance of the color. The other two components C_b, C_r represent the color-difference component. The bandwidth of C_b, C_r components are much smaller than that of luminance signal. Thus, this color space is suitable for image compression and adopted for JPEG and MPEG The YC_bC_r color space is related with the HSI (hue, saturation, intensity) color space. The HSI color apace is an ideal tool for developing image processing. In this paper, we propose a saturation enhancement method in the YC_bC_r color space. The width of (C_b, C_r) space is changed depending on the value of Y component. Since, the saturation enhancement method must be given limiting condition for the RGB color space, the constrained condition for the values of C_b, C_r are derived. Finally we propose a saturation enhancement method. This method is the equalization of saturation histogram. Histogram equalization is effect for not only intensity histogram but also saturation histogram. We can obtain the excellent enhancement results. |
