Abstract(in English) | The encoding method based on DCT and quantization for each block in an image may cause the deterioration of the image quality, when the image is compressed by the high compression rate. In such a case, the quantization noises that are called block noises in the block boundary and ringing near the edges are occurred. In this paper, we propose a new filtering method for reducing these quantization noises in the case where its block size and the initial position of the block boundary are unknown. This situation may be occurred in the post-processing of the compressed image. Several filtering techniques for removing the quantization noises in the high compression rate are proposed. As a result, the quantization noises and the blur of the processed image by the proposed technique can be reduced effectively. |
