Application-Level QoS Assessment of Audio-Video Streaming in an Ad Hoc Network with Link Quality-Based Routing

Abstract(in English) This report studies an ad hoc network with the Link Quality-based Hybrid Routing (LQHR). For on-demand route selection, LQHR utilizes link quality measured proactively. By computer simulation, we assess application-level QoS of audio and video streams transmitted over the network. In the simulation, we employ a grid topology network with 24 nodes. We compare LQHR with the original OLSR. We then show that LQHR is efficient for audio-video streaming, which demands high quality routes.
