A Comparison of User-Level QoS Estimation Schemes in Audio-Video IP Transmission

Abstract(in English) This report proposes a user-level QoS estimation scheme utilizing both temporal quality and spatial quality at the application-level in audio-video transmission over IP networks. The proposed scheme performs QoS mapping between application-level and user-level by means of multiple regression analysis. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, we compare the proposed scheme with a scheme which uses only temporal quality for the estimation. As a result, we see that user-level QoS can be estimated with high accuracy by using both temporal quality and spatial quality.
