Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this research is to propose the standard evaluation method for multi-mode polymeric optical waveguide, which will accelerate both of R&D and penetration into the market. In this type of waveguides, it is crucial to define the input light pattern because the roughness of core-cladding interface scatters higher order mode. By using LEDs, 50GI fibers and SGS mode scramblers can meet this demand.
