Abstract(in English) A noise suppression algorithm using Kalman filter is proposed. The algorithm achieves noise suppression with high performance under the condition of the AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise), from the canonical state space models with (i) a state equation composed of the speech signal and (ii) an observation equation composed of the speech signal and AWGN. The remarkable feature of the proposed algorithm is realization of noise suppression with high performance without sacrificing quality of the speech signal in spite of simple noise suppression algorithm using only the Kalman filter, while the conventional algorithm performs the noise suppression using the linear prediction and the Kalman filter. Numerical results and subjective evaluation results for noise suppression capability show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
