Abstract(in English) In this paper, we proposed a new internal robot noise reduction method by setting NAM microphone in a robot. Accurate hands-free speech recognition is indispensable to realize fluent spoken dialogue system between human and robots. We have already proposed spatial subtraction array (SSA) which is effective for hands-free speech recognition. However the word accuracy decreases because the robot suffers from internal robot noise generated by servo motors, CPU fans and so on. In order to solve this problem, we propose a new method of internal robot noise measurement and reduction by setting NAM microphone in the robot. The speech recognition experiments in a real environment reveal that the word accuracy of the proposed method is superior to those of the conventional methods.
