Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) K-means algorithm used for data compression and clustering is simple, but its computational cost is very high. A K-means VLSI processor dedicated to K-means algorithm has been proposed for real time processing. Face detection based on autonomous area segmentation by K-means algorithm has been studied as an example of applications.
