Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It was found that there are two types cpileptiform activities induced by the muscarinic agonist pilocarpinc in the experiment using rat hippocampal-entorhinal cortex (Hip-EC) slice preparations. CA3 has the interictal wave and EC has both the intercital and ictal waves. In this paper, we represent the experimental results that show the two types of cpilcptiform activity occurs with the apparent exclusive interaction. It considered that the generation of intcrictal waves in CA3 region inhibit the generation of ictal waves in EC region and vice versa.
