Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the next generation wireless communication systems, high-speed packet services will be in great demand, and hence error control technique is indispensable. Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) is a well-known important error controlling technique. Joint FDE and inter-chip interference (ICI) cancellation based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion can achieve frequency diversity gain while suppressing the residual ICI and therefore, provide much better packet error rate (PER) performance for the multicode DS-CDMA than the conventional rake combining. In this paper, we evaluate by computer simulation the throughput performance of HARQ using multicode DS-CDMA with MMSE turbo equalization.
