Abstract(in English) We propose the CMOS double stacked cascode variable gain driver amplifier by switching common-source FET. This amplifier has the variable gate-width common-source FET that is cascaded by the common-gate FET. In this configuration, the constant input and output impedance characteristics are available, and the input distortion characteristic is also constant in any gain mode. Additionally, the low power consumption is obtained in the low gain mode. The fabricated variable gain amplifier using 0.13μm CMOS obtains such characteristics as shown in above at 5GHz-band.
