Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We have investigated self-aligned organic diodes using an ink-jet printing (IJP) method applicable for large area. An organic insulating material was dissolved and a solution was spin-coated on a electrode. Then, organic emission material was ink-jet-printed on the substrate. In this process, the insulating material was also dissolved and formed an through-hole at the same position of ink-jet-printed region. Automatically, the emission layer was formed on the same position. Using this method, we have realized and demonstrate multi-color OLED panel with 150 ppi resolution using phosphorescent materials. And multi-function diodes (MFDs) that exhibit functions of emission and photo sensing were also investigated. For light emitting operation, a luminance obtained was 810cd/m^2 under forward-biased condition. For photo sensing operation under xenon lamp illumination, a photocurrent density was 0.84μA/cm^2 and the ratio of photoconductivity to dark conductivity was 10^2 under reverse-biased condition. |
