Abstract(in English) For past two years and halfs years, we have performed attendance-and-absence management by utilizing cellular phones in the lesson management system that we developed. The method was the simple keyword input system such that students used their cellular phones to input a keyword supplied by the teacher into a text-box on the system's attendance web-page. Although this method proved reasonably effective, the results were not completely reliable, because a student who was not physically present in the classroom could be informed of the attendance keyword by classmates sending out emails from their cellular phones. To remedy this, several keywords, which were specific to individual students, were assigned to students at varying time intervals during the class. This gave measurable improvement to the reliability of the results. This paper details how this attendance system works and reports on the initial results it has produced.
