Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied on optical modulation schemes for a multiplex transmission of VHF/UHF signals and BS/CS signals in a video delivery system using super-wideband FM techniques. The transfer functions of external modulators such as an EA modulator and a LN modulator are described and power spectrums of signals modulated by combinations of external modulators are calculated. We clarified the cascade arrangement of a LN modulator and an EA modulator has high modulation performances in a multiplex transmission of VHF/UHF signals and BS/CS signals. We also described the modulation scheme using a dual-electrode LN modulator is useful in the multiplex transmission because of its simple configuration.
